In the mansion’s backyard and with rain crashing against his figure, Xavier glared at the two drenched Vampires before him.

Behind them he could make out countless pair of crimson red eyes hiding by the bushes, they were all positioned in the vicinity of the mansion.

“Devour.” He muttered as he threw a pill towards his mouth.

Gale’s eyes widened as the moment Xavier bit down on the pill, he uppercut himself.

*BAM!*

Upon colliding his chin with his fist, Xavier’s body was knocked off the ground, into the mansion’s wall behind him, crashing into it in the process.

*CRASH!*

Thinking that it was some sort of preparation for some sort of attack, Gale instantly placed his hand on his sword’s handle before drawing it.

“The hell is he doing..?” He asked as he pushed down on the handle’s button after drawing the sword.

*Pierce*

Spikes protruded out of the sword’s cross-guard instantly piercing Gale’s hand and sucking out his blood. His sword radiated an ominous crimson energy as the red gem on it’s pommel glowed a bright red colour.

The lady beside him pulled out a pistol from her uniform before pointing it at Xavier.

Xavier just remained motionless with his back against the wall and a blood stream running down his nose. He was unconscious.

“I don’t know… Perhaps that is a requirement to activate some sort of an ability. We should deal with him right away.”

Without a hint of hesitation, she pulled down on the trigger, instantly firing off a bullet towards Xavier.

The bullet soared through the air at insanely fast speeds. It was coated in a strange purple fluid which remained stuck to it despite the rain.

*CRASH!*

Her eyes narrowed however, as the bullet ended up going right past Xavier’s head. He’d tilted his head to dodge at the very last second.

Gale then intervened as she was about to fire off the next shot, cutting in front of her before walking menacingly towards Xavier.

“Save those bullets, you won’t need them.” Said Gale as he approached Xavier with a glare.

The bullets were specially synthesized by the Vampires using Ghoul’s blood. They were made to deal with any Vampire’s they planned on executing as it was poisoned and weakened them.

Meanwhile a grin grew on Xavier’s face as a notification screen appeared in front of him.

[Rewind point has been set.]

Raising his brows with a surprised expression at the grin, Gale kicked off the ground towards Xavier thrusting his long sword, which radiated the crimson energy, at his grinning face.

*Swoosh!*

But right as he’d initiated that movement, Xavier pushed himself further up the wall, before kicking off of it towards the lady.

Xavier’s thought was interrupted mid-air as something latched onto him. Looking down he quickly noticed a hand grabbing a hold of him. It was gale.

*FWOOSH!*

Gale swung his arm, spinning Xavier around in the air before launching him at the mansion’s wall.

*CRASH!*

Xavier crashed right through the wall, straight into an empty room with barely any furniture.

Right before Gale could drop to the ground however and carry on with his attack, Xavier’s knees appeared right before his eyes, they were heading straight for him.

[Rewind Level 2: Retract.]

Gale’s brows rose again in surprise, how did Xavier get to him so fast?

*SPLASH!*

Xavier’s knee ended up crashing right into Gale’s face, but contrary to his expectations, it ended up going right through it, as Gale’s head completely liquified.

[Aqua Manipulation: Liquification.]

Glancing at Gale in that moment, Xavier notified the lady below them with her pistol pointed right at him.

*BOOM!*

Xavier quickly reacted, thrusting his leg at Gale’s back to kick off of it and avoid the bullet.

But right as he did so, Gale liquified the rest of his body, causing his feet to plunge through his liquified body.

And if that wasn’t enough, the surrounding water from the rain created a whip which wrapped itself around him, preventing him from dodging-

[Aqua Manipulation: Water Bind.]

*CLANG!*

Xavier’s head bopped backwards as his body soared away from Gale towards the grass beside them.

After sliding through the slippery grass with his binded arms, Xavier came to a stop still on his feet. In that moment, Xavier raised his head, showing the bullet stopped in between his front teeth. He’d stopped it with his bite.

The lady who saw this was surprised but Gale whose body reverted back into its solid state looked as if he knew all along.

*Ptoo*

Xavier spat out the bullet before looking down at his arms, they were still binded by the water whip. Muscles bulged out of his arms and he thrust them out, breaking through the binds.

*Splash!*

But they returned almost instantly after as the rain drops crashed against his skin.

“It’s no use, I’m a water elementalist, there’s water all around you… You know what this means, right?” Gale asked with a grin as he walked towards Xavier.

As he approached Xavier, a shield of water began to form around Gale. Meanwhile countless water bullets and spears were forming around Xavier, along with the binds restricting him growing bigger and bigger to the point where even his legs were binded.

“Before I kill you, I have one question-“

“Just hurry up and finish him off.” The young masculine voice interrupted.

And almost instantly after-

*Spark!* *Spark!* *VBOOOM!*

The sound of a thunderclap resounded across the area, and In that fraction of a second, Xavier’s figure could be seen across the grass field once more, with a javelin of light impaled through his stomach.

“What do you know… I can hit him.” Muttered the boy as his figure was illuminated by the thunderous light.

A short pearl black berry haired boy was standing by the bushes hiding as he’d been ordered, he had electric sparks travelling through his body and was in a throwing position. Xavier instantly recognised him.

What he didn’t recognise were the two other figures beside him, they were just as powerful, Xavier also wasn’t able to get a good look at them as he was sent all the way across the field towards the mansion vicinity’s wall.

*CRASH!*

A smoke cloud emerged and Xavier’s figure disappeared into view in the far distance.

“Hey, what was that for, young Marquess? I had something to ask him.” Asked Gale as he turned towards the young boy.

“I had unfinished business with him. More importantly, aren’t we here to execute the the Redbloods? Why put us on stand-by to watch your fight?” The young Marquess responded.

“I was wondering the same thing, isn’t the young lady Redblood in that room?” Questioned another Vampire as he walked up to them.

A handsome young man whose face could be mistaken for a girl’s, especially his long braided brown hair flowing down his shoulders. He too had crimson eyes which were peering at the room.

It was filled with shadows, almost sealed off. The only way to enter would be to break the shadowy wall.

“A few hits… Should do it…” Said a fourth voice.

Behind him walked another Vampire, his appearance was the most bizzare out of all of them. Pale green smoke surrounded his figure covered almost completely by bandages.

His crimson red eyes stared through the small gaps on the bandages on his face in the direction Xavier had been launched. There were no signs of movements coming from the cloud of smoke.

“Wha about… him…?” He asked in a cold dry tone

The braided haired Vampire placed his hand beneath his chin before closing his eyes.

“Hm… Is that really a question? We have four Marquess’s here, what could he possibly-“

*BAM!*

A fist crashed through the side of the braided haired Vampire’s face, interrupting him before sending him zooming and sliding down the backyard.

All of the other Vampire’s turned over to where the braided haired Vampire had been standing only to find Xavier staggering as he walked over to them.

“Hm… That was fast, did you speed up?” Gale asked.

Xavier didn’t respond, his eyes remained open wide, occasionally twitching as he continued to approach him.

[Gluttony Level 2: Berserk.]

[Berserk State: Activated.]

“Hm? Did you not hear me-

Gale was interrupted as in the following instant, Xavier’s hand appeared ahead of him, thrusting at his face to grab it.

*VBOOOM!*

Right before it could however, the sound of a thunderclap resounded, and in that very same second, Xavier’s figure was launched away from Gale, grabbing a hold of a glowing blue javellin of light as the electricity spread across his body.

“You’re welcome, Gale.” Said the young marquess as he grinned.

The grin quickly faded however, as he noticed Xavier was holding onto the blue javelin of light. He’d caught it and was currently Zooming across the field with it in his hand.

“He’s doing it again.” Said the young marquess as his eyes lit up in surprise.

While Zooming across the field the energy from the javelin was flowing into Xavier’s mouth, it was quickly losing it’s momentum.

[Gluttony Level ???: Ability Devour.]

*FWOOSH!*

With a trail of burning grass in front of him, Xavier quickly came to a halt, still holding onto the rod filled with electricity. There were many burns running along his arm but that didn’t bother him.

The rod and electricity’s colour quickly changed to a crimson red as he got into the position to launch it.

The young marquess chuckled once he saw this.

“Looks like we’re in a bit of danger-“
